The programme helps participants build confidence, skills, and networks essential for creative careers. Foot in the Door also enriches the local community, giving audiences the chance to discover fresh, grassroots talent. It reflects Graylingwell Chapel’s commitment to inclusion, growth, and nurturing the next generation of artists.
Music Sessions
Tailored Workshops
Music sessions offer a powerful way to support those living with anxiety and neurodiversity by providing a safe, creative outlet for self-expression. Music can reduce stress, regulate emotions, and boost confidence without the pressure of traditional communication. Structured yet flexible sessions help create a sense of calm and routine, while encouraging social interaction in a non-judgmental environment. Engaging with music also stimulates the brain in positive ways, helping individuals to focus, relax, and build valuable emotional resilience.
The Sonic Stream
Embracing Diversity
The Sonic Stream will be a hyper-local, live-streamed platform created by neurodiverse young people to showcase Chichester’s music, culture, and community life. It will help tackle the isolation, lack of opportunity, and underrepresentation faced by many neurodiverse individuals. By providing real skills, work experience, and a platform for authentic local voices, it builds confidence, connection, and community pride. The Sonic Stream will transform how residents engage with their city — celebrating difference, strengthening wellbeing, and creating a model that could be replicated nationwide.
Where Enterprise Meets Community
Embracing Diversity
Offering affordable podcasts and recording services for local enterprises creates valuable work experience for young people training in broadcasting, editing, and communications. This provision supports businesses by giving them access to professional-quality content at a lower cost, helping them share their stories and reach wider audiences. At the same time, it gives trainees real-world projects to build skills, confidence, and portfolios. This model strengthens the local economy, boosts visibility for small enterprises, and empowers the next generation of media talent.
