The Sonic Stream
A voice for local music, young people and dicovery
The Sonic Stream is a new programme, launched in 2026 that is designed to build creative opportunities; build the local music and arts scene in the Chichester district; give voice to a community that often feels unheard; and bring people together to celebrate differences and similarities. If you're a local musician, performer, artist and would like us to showcase what you do, and get some airtime for your art then please do get in touch - we would love to help get your voice heard.
Production & Programming
For technical editing
Those who enjoy the technical side of life can get involved in the production, editing and programming of the life Stream. Using accessible and intuitive programmes like Garage Band, our excellent session leaders can help guide you on how to edit recorded voice and music; create programming; schedule music, interviews and more; and feel comfortable around simples editing suites. A fantastic opportunity to learn from professionals, and collectively explore ways to get the sound just right, and create something that could and should be heard.
Interviews & presenting
Get your voice heard
For those who would like to be heard this is a chance to learn about presenting. It can be a chance to perform yourself - recording spoken word or music, or to interview others about their thoughts, experience or creative passions. We have the microphones and set up to feel professional, but in an environment that is relaxing, informal, and totally supporting. You don't need any experience or qualifications - it's just about getting your voice heard. If you have something to say, or want to help give voice to other's thoughts or actions then this is a great opportunity for you.
Marketing & Promotions
Help get the word out
Giving voice to those who are too often not heard is only going to break barriers if we have people in the team who enjoy and want to help get the word out about what we're creating. Whether you enjoy creating promotional material and posters, you're a master of social media and other platforms, or you just would like to find out how to do it there is an opportunity for you. We can work with you to find ways to build the Sonic Stream into THE station to listen to across the region, promoting local bands, musicians and artists, and building a vibe that represents you and others who should be heard.

Be a part of something different
If you don't really know what you want, like or might go on to do, you are not alone! It's how so many people feel, and if that's you then this is a chance just to give something a go. We understand that you might not make it along every week if life gets busy or too much. You might not want to be actively involved - at least not at first. But it feels good to be part of something bigger than yourself, even if you're just there to find out more, cheer others on, or see what's going on. Sometimes it feels like everybody else knows what they want to do and how to do it. If that's not you, that is so OK. We'd still love to see you, you are so welcome.
